Responsibilities

The Head of Learning and Teaching will provide academic leadership, working closely with the Heads of academic departments and programs to lead the development and implementation of learning and teaching activities of higher education programs. Develop and deliver curricula, manage departmental staff, and develop learning and teaching resources. Provide artistic and scholarly leadership through professional example and maintain a track record of original and innovative contributions to the advancement of scholarship, research, and teaching within the field. Lead and manage the higher education programs of the National Art School in line with the School’s strategic priorities. Qualifications

A commitment to academic excellence with innovative, inclusive, student-centered pedagogies. Substantial experience in academic leadership including course and curriculum design in the Fine Arts and/or related fields. Substantial experience in developing and implementing Teaching and Learning policy and practice. Extensive knowledge of best-practice standards in course development and delivery. Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards including the Australian Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF) and Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). A record of original and innovative contributions to scholarship, research, and teaching within the field. Postgraduate qualifications at AQF level 10 or equivalent professional experience.
