About the role: Talis is seeking a Senior Waste and Circular Economy Consultant in Brisbane to collaborate with some of the most respected consultants in the waste, resource recovery and circular industry. Applicants with experience in waste and circular economy consulting and/or local government will be viewed favourably. Technical delivery areas include but are not limited to; Resource Recovery / Circular Economy Strategies Strategic Waste Management Plans Local Government Service Reviews FOGO feasibility assessment and implementation plans Tender documentation and processes for waste management services (collection, treatment, Waste Supply Agreements) Feasibility and Financial Assessments Funding Applications Waste Awareness and Education Strategies Project Management Lead and contribute to business development and marketing initiatives to attract new clients and opportunities for Talis; and Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, supporting their professional development and growth. To succeed in this position, you will need to have: Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Degree or similar; Extensive experience (5-15 years) in Waste, Resource Recovery and/or the Circular Economy (Consultancy, Local or State Government or Private Sector); In-depth knowledge of local government processes and waste management services; Strong desire to achieve sustainable waste management outcomes; Advanced project management, communication, reporting and excel skills; Experience in identifying and securing business development opportunities; Experience leading a team is a bonus; Business Development skills/experience (marketing, tendering, etc); and Project Management experience is essential.
