The Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity to drive strategic portfolio outcomes within a nationally significant agency. As Portfolio Director, you will provide high-level analytical and advisory leadership, oversee complex programs of work, and influence strategic direction at executive and Board level.
Your duties will include:
Leading and delivering a complex portfolio of work with full accountability for governance, risk and quality assurance
Providing statistical, economic, actuarial and analytical advice to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
Translating legislation, policy decisions and business challenges into practical modelling and strategic insights
Setting strategic direction and managing performance for a professional team (APS4-EL2)
Engaging and influencing stakeholders across the Agency and externally
Presenting complex analysis and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline
Demonstrated ability to apply professional judgement in complex, ambiguous environments
Experience delivering high-level statistical, analytical, economic and/or actuarial advice aligned to corporate strategy
Proven leadership capability, including managing multidisciplinary teams
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at executive level
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise business systems (CRM experience highly regarded)
