Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced
Dynatrace SaaS and ELK Engineer
to support observability and performance monitoring for our cloud-native applications running on
AWS .
You will be responsible for the end-to-end setup and optimization of monitoring and logging frameworks using
Dynatrace SaaS
and the
ELK stack
(Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), with a strong focus on
AWS services, infrastructure, and serverless applications
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy and configure
Dynatrace OneAgents
and
ActiveGates
across AWS EC2, ECS, EKS, and Lambda environments.
Set up
RUM, synthetic monitoring , and
Davis AI
to proactively detect performance issues.
Build service-centric dashboards and alerting rules aligned with business KPIs and SLAs.
Integrate Dynatrace with
AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail , and incident/alerting platforms (ServiceNow, PagerDuty, etc.).
Design and implement centralized logging pipelines using
Logstash, Beats , and
FluentBit
for AWS logs.
Manage
Elasticsearch
clusters for performance, indexing strategies, and retention policies.
Create meaningful
Kibana dashboards
and alerts for application and infrastructure logs.
Correlate log and APM data to assist in root cause analysis and proactive monitoring.
AWS-Focused Monitoring Operations:
Work closely with cloud engineering teams to embed observability in
CI/CD pipelines .
Implement tagging standards and custom metadata strategies to enhance traceability.
Tune and optimize monitoring for
cost efficiency
and
noise reduction
in dynamic AWS environments.
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with Dynatrace SaaS , especially in cloud-native and AWS integrations.
Deep knowledge of ELK stack
(Elastic 7.x or 8.x) and best practices for logging in AWS.
Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, etc.).
Strong skills in
Bash/Python/PowerShell scripting
for automation and data transformation.
Experience working in
DevOps/Agile
delivery environments.
Understanding of microservices and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
Nice to Have:
Dynatrace certifications
(Associate, Professional).
Experience with
Terraform or AWS CDK
for infrastructure automation.
Familiarity with other observability tools like
Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, New Relic .
