The Company A well‑established SA business operating in the manufacturing and construction sector, known for delivering engineered building solutions to residential and commercial customers. This is a confidential search for a key leadership appointment.

Your Role As part of the senior leadership team, you will lead the engineering and design function, managing a small technical team and working closely with customers to ensure practical, compliant, and commercially sound outcomes.

You will take ownership of design processes from concept through to delivery, balancing technical integrity with client expectations and operational realities. Key responsibilities include:

Leading and mentoring a small Drafting Team to deliver high‑quality drawings and plans

Provide technical support to the Sales, Pre‑Production and Site Installation teams

Overseeing technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation and ensure high level accuracy

Acting as the first point of contact in technical and customer interfaces

Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and relevant regulations

Supporting project delivery with buildable, efficient design solutions

Improving systems, workflows, and design efficiency over time

About You You are a technically credible professional who enjoys leadership, structure, and working with customers. Experience within manufacturing, construction systems, or engineered building products will be highly regarded. You will ideally bring:

A degree in Engineering or Architecture

Experience leading or supervising a technical or design team

Strong customer and stakeholder management skills

The ability to review, guide, and approve design outcomes

A practical, solutions‑focused mindset

Excellent communication skills and sound judgement
