Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Growth is a highly motivated and senior strategic leader in the business that develops profitable long term client partnerships and grows Sparro’s brand presence.
The Head of Growth is largely focused on bringing in new business.
Only candidates with full working rights in Australia will be considered for the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
COMMERCIAL
Identify and close new business opportunities for Sparro individually and collaboratively with SLT and senior leaders.
Identify and close cross/upsell opportunities for existing Sparro clients, leveraging teams and partners.
Develop and execute strategic plans to hit and exceed revenue targets and increase the average client size.
Effectively communicate Sparro’s value proposition and positioning in every client dealing and proposal.
Drive contractual and budget discussions with clients that fairly maximises Sparro’s commercial potential.
Accurate and regular internal reporting to SLT on sales pipelines and revenue forecasts.
CLIENTS / INDUSTRY
Build trusted advisor relationships with C-level stakeholders, advising on business and strategy.
Share competitive/industry trends and insights that benefits clients and helps with business/decisioning.
Key stakeholder in strategic planning/growth sessions and workshops for new and existing clients.
High involvement in initiatives to expand Sparro’s brand profile within the industry, whilst seeking your own.
Represent Sparro and network at industry events, seeking participation opportunities where relevant.
Help own and lead the industry awards strategy and submission process. Proactively identify high-impact opportunities that showcase our commercial success and innovation.
TEAM / SPARRO
Work closely with Account Directors/Leads to ensure the new client onboarding CX is market-leading.
Research and identify new markets or categories that have a high level of growth potential.
Support Product Director and SLT in go-to-market initiatives for proprietary products/tech to increase adoption.
Training and workshops for staff to increase their sales, commercial and business acumen.
Share industry insights, trends, developments, action plans with senior Sparro and Jack Nimble management.
Maintain a psychologically-safe environment
Maintain clear direction and clarity to create knowledge sharing, collaboration and proactivity.
SKILLS
Over 10 years of marketing or media sales experience.
Advanced levels of sales, commercial and business acumen.
Advanced knowledge of media channels and broader business and marketing principles.
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
Highly effective stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to quickly uncover and understand a client or market problem and develop a strategic approach.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and persuasive skills, utilising collaboration and a ‘we grow together approach’, with an innate ability to affect positive change across both individuals and organisations.
Confident self-starter that thrives on challenges, with an advanced ability to independently plan, strategise, and mobilise to achieve a project or change in the organisation – including directives from the business partners.
Strong leadership skills, with an ability to align teams on a common goal, creating accountability and clarity.
Well respected sales director with a strong track record of identifying and developing great client relationships.
High level of proficiency in presentation and management tech, e.g. Google Slides, Monday.com, Salesforce.
An existing network of medium-large business relationship contacts is also highly favourable.

The Head of Growth will work closely with Senior Leadership Team and be able to learn and grow as part of the team through on the job mentoring and support from the team and other senior leaders within the business.
