Lead change and culture renewal, building capability, trust and engagement across a workforce of around 240 staff.
Build partnerships with industry, community and government to deliver balanced, sustainable outcomes that protect Queensland’s fisheries legacy.
Represent Queensland in regional, national and international forums, ensuring the State’s leadership and voice are recognised.
About You
You are a dedicated and seasoned executive or industry leader known for credibility, composure and impact in complex policy, regulatory or operational environments.
You bring:
Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams through reform, uncertainty and change.
Strong understanding of natural resource governance, compliance and stakeholder engagement.
Political and strategic acumen, with the ability to influence across Cabinet, industry and community.
Integrity, resilience and the ability to drive trust, performance and collaboration.
A tertiary qualification in fisheries, natural resource management, agriculture, science, economics or public policy (or equivalent experience) is highly desirable.
As a senior leader in the Queensland public sector you will embody the Leadership Competencies for Queensland, providing clear vision, delivering through others, and modelling accountability, inclusion and respect in every decision.
Why Join Us?
