Ngutu College is seeking an experienced, values-aligned

OSHC Director

to lead our Outside School Hours Care service. This permanent leadership role is responsible for the strategic, educational and operational management of the service, ensuring high-quality, safe and engaging programs for children and families.

The OSHC Director plays a key leadership role within the College community, working closely with operational leadership, staff and families to deliver a service that reflects Ngutu College’s values.

About the Role Reporting to the Head of College, the OSHC Director is responsible for the management of the OSHC and Vacation Care Services, operating with a high level of independence and professional judgment.

Leadership & Operations Lead and manage the daily operations of the OSHC service, including before school, after school and vacation care

Provide strong leadership, supervision and support to OSHC educators and staff

Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, staff and the wider community

Oversee enrolments, staffing rosters, budgets and administrative requirements

Ensure a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children

Curriculum, Programming & Educational Leadership Provide educational leadership across the OSHC service

Lead the development, implementation and review of curriculum and programming, informed by children’s interests, wellbeing and developmental needs

Ensure curriculum and practice are aligned with My Time, Our Place (school age care) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

Mentor and support educators to embed intentional teaching and reflective practice into everyday programming

Quality, Compliance & Frameworks Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and its practical application within OSHC services

Apply the National Quality Standards (NQS) to drive continuous improvement and high-quality practice

Ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks, policies and procedures

Contribute to quality improvement planning and ongoing service development

About You We are looking for a confident, capable and compassionate leader with a strong understanding of OSHC. You will need to bring a balance of operational expertise and educational leadership, with the ability to lead a team, maintain compliance and deliver meaningful programs for children.

Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification) or a relevant tertiary qualification equivalent to two years full‑time study

Masterclass

First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management

Demonstrated experience within an OSHC, childcare or education setting

Demonstrated knowledge and application of the

National Quality Standards (NQS)

Demonstrated knowledge and application of

My Time, Our Place and/or the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

Experience in programming, curriculum design and educational leadership

Sound understanding of legislative and compliance requirements for education and care services

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families and children.
