About the opportunity As our business continues to grow, we have multiple opportunities for confident and highly-skilled communications professionals to join our team. This opportunity is open from

Account Manager through to Associate Director level , with roles and responsibilities shaped around your experience.

Working closely with clients and our team, you’ll manage projects end‑to‑end, from strategic planning and content development through to delivery, all while contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing consultancy environment.

We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate strong interest and capability in:

financial communications, including investor relations

government relations

For those joining us at a more senior level, these roles provide an opportunity to lead complex client accounts, mentor and guide teams, contribute to business development, and work closely with Sector Leads, Directors and our CEO.

What you’ll be doing Account Managers:

Lead the day‑to‑day operations of client accounts.

Manage projects, meetings and budgets across multiple clients to anticipate needs and identify opportunities.

Draft standout written content, including reports and media.

Develop and refine communication strategies that cut through and deliver impact.

Secure meaningful media opportunities and content.

Prepare clients for media interviews and key speaking engagements.

Partner with designers and suppliers to bring ideas and campaigns to life.

Support issues management with smart strategy and confident, timely responses.

Keep accurate and timely daily entries to support project tracking and billing.

Deliver clear, confident and high‑quality communications across a range of industries and sectors.

Senior Account Managers and beyond:

Lead and grow key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts.

Drive business development by spotting, shaping and converting new work opportunities across Purple’s key sectors.

Play an active role in winning work, including leading proposals, pitching and supporting broader growth initiatives.

Provide senior‑level strategic counsel and oversee the delivery of complex communication programs.

Mentor and develop team members, setting clear direction and maintaining high standards of work.

Contribute to the leadership and growth of the business, working closely with Sector Leads, Directors and the CEO to build Purple’s offering and client base.

About you You’re a strategic thinker, strong communicator and natural relationship‑builder who thrives in a fast‑paced consulting environment. You bring curiosity, initiative and a proactive approach to solving client challenges, and you’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting hands‑on with the work as you are working across diverse sectors, briefs and teams.

You’ll bring:

5+ years of relevant industry experiencein communications, PR, corporate affairs, marketing, journalism or a related field.

Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and channels.

Strong project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality work at pace.

A collaborative, team‑focused approach, with the confidence to share ideas, provide recommendations and support colleagues.

Awareness of current affairs, industry trends and media landscapes, particularly within Western Australia.

Confidence with Microsoft Office 365and digital communication tools.

Established local networks and/or demonstrated ability to build and maintain meaningful professional relationships.
