The role We currently have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a

Head of Finance

to join GESB's Finance business unit.

As the

Head of Finance , you will provide expert financial leadership and advice across the organisation, ensuring strong financial stewardship, robust governance, and informed decision‑making. This senior, hands‑on role oversees accounting and procurement operations and supports the Chief Finance Officer and leadership team with accurate reporting, insights, and strategic advice.

Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, you will lead the finance and procurement teams within the Finance business unit. This business unit is responsible for investment operations, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, payables and receipts, contracts and procurement, financial reporting, and tax. It also employs tax, actuary and audit consultants who provide assurance of outputs, and advice to improve those outputs where appropriate.
