This is a firm of Accountants that has a diverse and established client base, but they have never really pushed their tax services, that is, until now.

They are looking for their first Tax Manager and the shape, feel and remit of the position can be moulded for the person that joins the company.

Joining the company, you will work closely with the Partners and Client Managers and will be the go‑to tax person. … You’ll get to work with a range of clients, looking at tax planning and projects with time to research, present and deliver solutions.

There is a lot of work to do, a ready pipeline of potential companies to speak with, pricing to formalise and marketing that can be created … This is essentially a blank canvas for you to create and shape the Department.

They are expecting that the person who joins will be quite ambitious, someone that is looking for a route through to a Director or Partner level role and that is definitely an option.
