Role Overview
We are seeking a
Part time
Scientific Officer
to join our dedicated team within Brisbane, QLD.
Responsibilities
Your role will be to participate in the day-to‑day operation of the laboratory, working as part of a dedicated team. Duties include general (Haematology, Biochemistry, Stat Microbiology and Seminal Fluid), maintenance of instrumentation and equipment and compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements. The preferred applicants will be flexible, punctual, self‑motivated, display initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science or an AIMS accredited equivalent as a minimum.
Relevant experience with haematology morphology will be highly regarded.
High attention to detail and experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team.
Exceptional communication, time management & organisational skills.
The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services.
Have own transport and be able to take part in weekend and evening rosters including public holidays.
