Chief Executive Officer

WRAD Health (formerly Western Region Alcohol and Drug centre) is a community-based, not-for-profit integrated health service delivering medical, alcohol and other drug (AOD), mental health, family support, and therapeutic programs across the Great South Coast based in the coastal city of Warrnambool, Victoria. The organisation is committed to accessible, person-centred, and evidence-informed care, with a strong focus on integrated and community-based responses to complex health needs.

Position The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and sustainability of WRAD Health. The CEO provides strategic direction and operational oversight, ensuring delivery of high-quality services aligned with organisational values, regulatory requirements, and community needs.

The CEO works in close partnership with the Board to achieve strategic objectives and leads the organisation’s culture, partnerships, funding development, and service innovation.

About You You are an experienced executive leader with a strong track record in health, community services, or a related sector. You bring strategic capability together with authentic, people-centred leadership.

We are looking for someone with:

Senior executive leadership experience (CEO, Deputy CEO, or equivalent)

Strong governance and Board engagement experience

Demonstrated financial and operational management capability

Experience working with government funding and commissioning environments

Proven partnership and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to lead multidisciplinary service systems

Strong communication and advocacy capability

A commitment to integrated, community-based healthcare

Alignment with values of compassion, respect, and inclusion

Highly regarded:

Experience in AOD, mental health, primary care, or community health

Knowledge of rural and regional health systems

Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, management, public health, or similar
