Board Director Opportunity - The Lester Prize for Portraiture The Lester Prize is looking for a new member of the Board to help us grow our reach and impact as one of Australia's premier and prestigious portraiture prizes. We're at an exciting turning point, with ambitious plans to expand our touring program to both regional WA and to the East Coast. We need to build additional funding sources to enable our growth.

We need a director who can contribute to building sustainable revenue streams through sponsorship, philanthropy and strategic partnerships. You'll be joining a passionate Board committed to celebrating Australian portrait artists while at the same time ensuring our long-term sustainability.

We're looking for someone with:

1• Demonstrated success in fundraising, sponsorship acquisition or donor cultivation

2. Existing networks and relationships with potential corporate partners or major donors

3• An interest in the visual arts and the ecosystem

4• Experience with or an understanding of government funding frameworks and grantapplications

Strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to contribute to long-term planning.

5• Strong governance experience and understanding of director duties.

6• Financial literacy and experience with budget oversight and risk management

7. Strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to contribute to long-term planning

8• A collaborative approach and commitment to the Prize's mission

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to a growing organisation which was already become one of Australia’s largest portraiture prizes. We are looking for a director to help us expand our national footprint and revenue sources.

This is a pro-bono role. Meetings (6 meetings per year) are held in our offices at The Lester Group in Nedlands.
