Head of Growth

📍 Australia

Arts and Entertainment Hometime

Job Description

Hometime is Australia’s leading short‑term rental management platform. We manage holiday homes and investment properties on behalf of homeowners, delivering superior yields, expert care and exceptional guest experiences. We operate through owned subsidiaries and local partners, supported by a central technology and operational platform. We’re now entering an exciting new phase, shifting from a marketing‑led inbound model to a truly sales‑driven growth engine. That’s where you come in. The Opportunity

As our Head of Growth, you’ll take ownership of driving portfolio growth across the business by leading our Sales and Marketing functions. In addition to overseeing the central growth team you will build and lead a team of local BDMs in key markets across Australia. Your mission: to develop and execute a unified, sales‑led growth strategy by owning the full customer journey from discovery and decision, to becoming a live property on our platform. You’ll balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, guiding a high‑performing team as we double down on Hometime’s unique position in the market, combining local presence with sophisticated service delivery. What You’ll Do

Own and execute the growth strategy. Lead and unify Hometime’s Marketing and Sales teams under a single growth vision. Own the customer journey from discovery to listing live. Redesign our go‑to‑market approach to move from a predominantly digital first model to a localised, sales‑lead model supported by a centralised growth team. Design and implement the organisational structure, roles, KPIs, and ways of working for a sales‑led growth function. Establish and coach a network of Business Development Managers (BDMs) in key markets to actively source and close new properties under management. Ensure marketing is structured to support a sales‑led strategy, oversee marketing strategy, performance, reporting, and budget decisions. Operate as a senior leadership team member, driving alignment of the growth strategy across the organisation and building strong relationships with local teams,, and cross‑functional leaders. Represent Hometime externally, building partnerships within the real estate, property management, and short‑term rental ecosystems. About You

You lead from behind, build trust fast, and communicate with clarity. You’re strategic, structured, and a systems thinker, but also curious enough to get into the trenches to understand how the business really works. You move quickly, take smart risks, and solve problems decisively. And you’re here for the long game, excited to build and refine Hometime from an industry leader into a household name for holiday homes and short‑term rentals. You Bring

A history of building, not inheriting sales and growth functions. Leadership experience with distributed, geo‑aligned sales teams and BDMs. Clear, measurable sales‑led growth results – you must be across the numbers. Strong sales operations skills across tools, workflows, and scalable systems. Comfort working hand‑in‑hand with marketing to align funnel, messaging, and performance; understands marketing and can speak the lingo. Experience setting up repeatable, scalable sales systems and running a partnership sales channel. Multi‑brand or regional‑brand business experience. Real‑estate or homeowner‑focused markets. Experience using AI to improve sales execution. In‑person selling experience. Why Hometime?

You’ll join a fast‑moving business with a clear opportunity to reshape how we grow. This role is about building something new and bringing strategy to life in a way that makes a measurable impact. You’ll have autonomy, visibility, and the chance to lead a transformation that defines our next chapter. Hometime has featured in the Deloitte Fast 50 and the EY Best Places to Work lists. And we manage Australia’s finest holiday homes in the most desirable holiday locations around the country – which you will need to see and experience.
