About our client
Our client is a globally recognised professional services firm with a highly established Deal Advisory practice and a strong presence in the Perth market. Their Corporate Business Valuations team supports ASX-listed companies, major private groups, and infrastructure clients, delivering complex valuation advice for financial reporting, tax, and strategic transactions.
Due to continued growth and leadership succession planning, an exceptional opportunity has arisen for a technically strong Director or Associate Director to join the Perth valuations practice in a key leadership position.
About the position
This role will operate as the 2IC to the Partner, providing technical leadership and oversight across the Perth valuations team and playing a key role in the ongoing growth of the practice.
The Perth valuations team currently consists of 7 professionals, including:
1 Partner
1 Manager
2 Senior Analysts
3 Analysts and Graduate
The national valuations division consists of approximately 60 professionals, including 12–15 Directors, providing strong internal collaboration and technical support.
This is a highly technical role, focused on reviewing complex valuation models, ensuring technical accuracy, and providing leadership and mentorship to the team. The Partner remains heavily involved in client relationship management, allowing this role to focus primarily on technical delivery and engagement oversight.
This position offers a clear and genuine pathway to Partnership.
Duties may include
Acting as 2IC to the Partner, supporting leadership of the Perth valuations practice
Reviewing complex valuation models and financial analyses prepared by the team
Providing technical oversight and quality assurance across engagements
Delivering corporate valuations, including Purchase Price Allocations, tax valuations, and financial reporting valuations
Reviewing financial models across infrastructure, energy, and large corporate clients
Supporting independent expert reports and strategic valuation engagements
Mentoring and developing team members across multiple levels
Supporting engagement delivery across ASX-listed companies and major corporate clients
Utilising Excel extensively (core tool), alongside Capital IQ and other financial data platforms

Requirements
Extensive experience in business valuations, corporate finance, or Deal Advisory
Strong technical expertise in corporate valuations, Purchase Price Allocations, and tax valuations
Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability (essential – heavily used)
Strong technical review capability and exceptional attention to detail
Experience reviewing and mentoring team members
Strong analytical and report writing capability
Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, or economics
CA, CFA, or equivalent qualification (preferred)
Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen (preferred)
