We’re currently hiring for strategy consulting roles in our

Melbourne office , where you’ll join a team delivering strategy and transformation work across a diverse range of sectors in Australia.

At SPP, you’ll work on varied and complex challenges across sectors, including education, research, government, consumer, financial services, and not-for‑profits, driving impactful solutions for our clients and broader society.

About the role As a member of our consulting team, you’ll be entrusted with real responsibility from day one. You’ll work closely with clients and colleagues to tackle strategic challenges, develop actionable insights, and deliver high‑quality outcomes. Depending on your experience, you may lead engagements, support junior team members, or focus on developing your consulting toolkit.

Typical responsibilities include:

Conducting research and gathering data to inform strategic decisions

Building financial and analytical models to uncover insights

Synthesising quantitative and qualitative data into clear recommendations

Developing reports and presentations that communicate complex ideas simply

Facilitating client workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions

Contributing to proposals, tenders, and thought leadership

Managing project delivery and supporting team development (for more experienced candidates)

We’re hiring across levels, and we’re interested in candidates who bring:

2+ years of experience

in consulting, professional services, or corporate strategy roles

Exposure to

hypothesis‑driven problem solving

and structured, top‑down thinking methodologies, with a strong learning mindset

Strong

analytical and communication skills , with comfort working with data and presenting clear, well‑reasoned insights

A

Bachelor’s and/or higher degree

in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Commerce, Engineering, Arts, Law, Science), with

strong academic achievement

(e.g. distinction average or equivalent)

Proficiency in

MS Office tools

(PowerPoint, Excel, Word; PowerBI desirable)

A

pragmatic, outcome‑driven mindset

and a collaborative approach to teamwork

For more experienced candidates, we value:

Experience leading projects and managing client relationships

Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders (Exec, GM, C‑Level)

A track record of mentoring and supporting junior team members
