About the Role An outstanding opportunity exists to join the Sonic Healthcare group in the role of Chief Operating Officer for our Victorian diagnostic imaging business - Radiology Victoria. Sonic Healthcare is an Australian Top 40 ASX listed company at the forefront of the global healthcare industry and is the second largest diagnostic imaging provider in Australia with more than 100 radiology centres.

In this leadership role, reporting to the Victorian CEO and based in Melbourne CBD, you will operate in a clinician-led environment that values sustainable growth, disciplined execution and long-term performance. This role offers genuine end-to-end accountability within a well-established imaging business, supported by the scale and stability of the Sonic Healthcare Group.

As COO, your role will include building and maintaining a high performing leadership team focussed on achieving growth, quality, safety and financial targets, fostering a culture of exceptional customer service, respect, accountability and innovation in the way we provide radiology services across both hospital and community settings.

About you To succeed in this role, you will bring a combination of strong operational leadership, industry expertise and a values-driven approach. You will have:

Extensive senior management experience within radiology or diagnostic imaging

Proven ability to achieve operational, financial and strategic objectives

A collaborative and inclusive leadership style, with a demonstrated ability to engage and develop high-performing teams

Strong communication skills and the ability to lead complex change

A commitment to patient-centred care, quality outcomes and clinical excellence

Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

Undergraduate qualification as a Medical Radiation Practitioner or Sonographer

Postgraduate qualifications in Business, Health Management or a related discipline (highly desirable)

About Radiology Victoria and Sonic Healthcare Radiology Victoria is part of the Sonic Healthcare group, providing excellence in radiology to both Epworth Hospital locations and the wider community.

We employ approximately 330 highly skilled team members, including radiologists, imaging technologists and support staff, across hospital and community locations.
