About the Role
BDO’s Real Estate Advisory team works with government and private sector clients across a range of sectors including residential development, social and affordable housing, Built to Rent (BTR), industrial, transport, health, as well as across other traditional asset classes.
With unprecedented expenditure across a range of these sectors coupled with our market leading experience and deep industry networks, our team is growing and is looking for new and exciting individuals to join.
We are currently looking for
Certified Practising Valuers
to join our growing Real Estate Advisory team based in Brisbane to deliver and advise on significant projects within the Real Estate and Infrastructure space.
You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of Real Estate and Infrastructure projects nationally, whilst gaining experience in property advisory engagements, valuations and transactions across a wide range of asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver valuation advice, development feasibilities and strategic real estate analysis
Support or lead acquisition and disposal engagements
Undertake financial modelling and prepare high quality reports
Participate in transaction management activities
Engage in business development, proposal preparation and tender responses
Maintain strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders, project partners and broader industry professionals
Coordinate third party consultants when required
Share market insights and contribute to broader real estate knowledge across the firm
About You
Strong analytical thinking and high attention to detail
Comfortable working within multi-disciplinary teams
Commercial mindset with an interest in broader property advisory
Ability to build rapport and maintain strong client relationships
Proactive, collaborative and eager to grow within a fast-expanding team
Skills & Qualifications
Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) registration — mandatory
Experience in real estate valuation (living sector experience beneficial but not essential)
Experience in real estate advisory and/or project management (desirable)
Strong real estate market analysis, research and sales analysis capability
Understanding of leases, planning schemes, development fundamentals and property valuation methodology
Experience in property acquisitions, disposals, feasibility or transaction related advisory (advantageous)
Proficiency with Argus EstateMaster (or similar), and strong Excel modelling skills
Ability to prepare high quality valuation reports, feasibility assessments and/or advisory deliverables
Tertiary qualifications in Property Economics or a related real estate discipline
