The Opportunity:
We're seeking a
Senior People & Culture Business Partner
to join us on a
10‑month parental leave cover contract , with flexibility to work
either 4 days per week (part‑time equivalent)
or
full‑time .
In this role, you will directly manage and support the
People & Culture Coordinator
and contribute to organisation‑wide improvement projects by taking the lead on the People & Culture systems management, governance and optimisation. This role is also a trusted business partner to our
Finance, IT and Procurement
business unit, driving their strategic people outcomes, uplifting leadership capability and coordinating key workforce planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead governance, continuous improvement and troubleshooting initiatives across P&C systems, programs, processes and reporting.
Drive the annual P&C cycle including performance, remuneration, engagement and talent initiatives.
Provide direct leadership, coaching and workflow oversight to the People & Culture Coordinator.
Act as the primary P&C partner for Finance, IT and Procurement, providing strategic people advice to senior leaders.
Lead or support organisation ‑ wide projects that enhance culture, capability and employee experience and partner with the Chief People & Culture Officer to shape and deliver national people strategy
Provide expert guidance across ER/IR, policy, legislation, remuneration and complex people matters.
Produce data ‑ driven insights and people dashboards to inform decision ‑ making.
Oversee end ‑ to ‑ end recruitment for assigned business units.
Support L&D planning, LMS optimisation and capability uplift programs.
Desired Skills and Experience
To Succeed With Us:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
7+ years’ experience in senior HR generalist, project or business partnering roles.
Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience coaching direct reports.
Strong technical P&C knowledge, including contemporary legislation and IR principles.
Demonstrated capability in HRIS administration, configuration, reporting and optimisation.
Experience with systems such as ELMO, iChris, CultureAmp or Reward Gateway is beneficial.
Strong communication, influencing and relationship ‑ building skills with high learning agility, resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast ‑ paced, evolving environment.
Strong project management capability and exceptional attention to detail.
