We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Lead to join our team in Perth or Melbourne on a full-time permanent basis in the Infrastructure Delivery (ID) division.
Reporting to the Head of Quality & Commissioning, you will take work direction from the project team and assist in the implementation of quality assurance management systems across the Project Delivery division to meet appropriate standards (e.g. ISO 9001 for Quality Assurance). You will oversee the quality team and coordinate the planning, implementation, and supervision of the project quality management plans across all projects in the division.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and review quality‑related supplier/contractor documentation, and coordinate related inspections with external inspection service providers.
Attend regular project, supplier, and contractor progress meetings and liaise with procurement/package engineers, ensuring quality of goods and services.
Implement industry standards and regulatory codes, and maintain quality assurance systems across the projects to meet appropriate standards.
Liaise with customers to identify and monitor quality requirements.
Ensure the implementation of training related to quality assurance and project improvement initiatives and programs for project team members.
Identify and implement appropriate quality tools to monitor and improve project performance.
Your background
Demonstrated quality management experience in a similar position on major infrastructure projects (gas industry preferable, renewables also advantageous).
Auditing experience desirable (lead auditor qualification preferred), welding experience preferred, general fabrication knowledge acceptable.
Proven ability to enhance and build a quality management system/framework.
Effective internal and external stakeholder management skills, aligned with APA’s behaviours.
Record of delivering results, using operational efficiency and commercial
acumen to effectively implement business strategy.
