The Role
As a Consulting Arborist, you will:
Deliver high‑quality written reports (development, risk, health, management, planning, compliance and strategy)
Undertake TRAQ‑aligned tree risk assessments to a high technical standard
Conduct site inspections across a variety of project types (residential, commercial, infrastructure, local government)
Interpret and apply relevant standards, legislation, planning schemes and best practice guidelines
Work closely with clients, planners, engineers and internal stakeholders to provide clear, practical and defensible advice
Use modern digital tools and software for data collection, mapping, reporting and workflow management
Contribute to continuous improvement of our processes, templates and systems – helping us stay at the leading edge of consulting arboriculture
About You
You’re an exceptionally efficient and detail‑obsessed professional who takes pride in getting it right the first time. You’ll thrive with us if you are:
Qualified
Minimum AQF Level 5 in Arboriculture (or equivalent)
TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) – qualified or completing is desirable
Experienced
Previous consulting arborist experience (report writing & risk assessment)
Comfortable working with planning schemes, permits and relevant Australian standards
Quality‑Driven
Extremely strong attention to detail in both field observations and report writing
Committed to professional, defensible and ethical advice
Tech‑Savvy & Efficient
Confident with digital tools (ideally Apple ecosystem, GIS, data collection apps, report software)
Able to manage your time well and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
Proactive & Innovative
Always looking for smarter, better ways to do things
Contributes ideas on systems, templates, tech and processes
Ambitious & Motivated
Clear vision of your own professional growth
Strong desire to help shape an industry‑leading consulting team
A current driver’s licence and the right to work in Australia are essential.
