The Opportunity
AutoGrab is seeking a
Sales Director – Automotive
to lead and scale our domestic sales function across Australia. This is a
senior leadership role
responsible for driving revenue growth, developing high-performing sales teams, and expanding AutoGrab’s footprint across dealerships, dealer groups, OEM partners and automotive networks.
Reporting directly to the
Chief Commercial Officer , the Sales Director will play a critical role in executing AutoGrab’s commercial strategy. The position will focus on building strong pipelines, managing accurate forecasting, and ensuring disciplined sales execution across the organisation.
This role requires a leader with deep automotive industry knowledge, strong SaaS sales experience, and established relationships within OEMs, dealerships, and large dealer groups. The successful candidate will also work closely with Operations, Product and Technology teams to ensure customer outcomes align with the continued evolution of AutoGrab’s platform.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop the national sales team to drive consistent revenue growth.
Establish clear sales targets, KPIs and performance frameworks aligned with company growth objectives.
Build a high-performance sales culture focused on execution, accountability and customer success.
Support recruitment, onboarding and development of additional sales talent as the company scales.
Drive disciplined
pipeline creation, management and reporting
across all sales channels.
Maintain accurate
sales forecasting and revenue predictability
through structured CRM management.
Develop repeatable sales processes that support scalability and operational efficiency.
Work closely with leadership to deliver reliable quarterly and annual revenue forecasts.
Market Expansion
Expand AutoGrab’s footprint across
dealer groups, independent dealerships and OEM partners .
Identify and pursue strategic opportunities within the Australian automotive market.
Leverage existing industry relationships to accelerate adoption of AutoGrab’s SaaS solutions.
Support network enablement initiatives to scale AutoGrab’s presence across large dealer networks.
Strategic Customer Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across
OEMs, dealer groups and industry partners .
Support enterprise-level sales opportunities and complex commercial negotiations.
Champion AutoGrab’s full suite of services including vehicle valuation, appraisal tools, pricing intelligence and data solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with
Product, Technology and Operations teams
to ensure the voice of the customer informs product development.
Support go-to-market initiatives for new product releases and platform enhancements.Collaborate with marketing and commercial leadership on strategic growth initiatives.
Maintain strong understanding of the
addressable automotive market
across Australia.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within automotive technology and dealership software.
Provide insights that inform AutoGrab’s broader commercial strategy.
Experience & Qualifications
Required Experience
5+ years’ experience managing and leading sales teams, preferably within automotive technology or SaaS environments.
Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performing sales teams.
Strong experience in forecast management, pipeline creation, and sales process discipline.Proven track record delivering revenue growth within a SaaS or technology-driven business model.
Extensive experience working within the automotive industry, particularly with dealerships, dealer groups and OEM partners.
Strong understanding of the automotive retail ecosystem, with established relationships across OEMs, dealer groups and key industry stakeholders.
Strategic and commercially minded, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives and complex enterprise partnerships.
Entrepreneurial, organised and data-driven, with a passion for automotive and technology.
