Credit Officer

About the Role We're seeking a Credit Officer for a 6-month contract to support a Credit & Collections team. You'll be managing a debtor portfolio, ensuring timely collection of overdue accounts while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is motivated by achieving results in a supportive and professional team.

Key responsibilities include:

Case management of debtor portfolios, including overdue accounts and hardship cases

Proactive customer contact in a high-volume environment, maintaining a professional and empathetic approach

Conducting reconciliations, managing payment arrangements, and ensuring compliance.

Contributing to continuous improvement in processes and outcomes

About You

Desirable - 2-5 years' experience in credit control or collections within a large, complex environment

Strong negotiation and case management skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionallySound understanding of credit risk and legal escalation processes

Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) with attention to detail and excellent communication skills

A team player with resilience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
