The GEA Nutrition Plant Engineering Division specialises in the delivery of project solutions to customers through engineering and project management in machinery, plants, process technology and components. We provide solutions for sophisticated production processes to diverse end‑user markets, from design and specification, to fabrication, installation and commissioning.
Head of Nutrition Plant Engineering (NPE) Cluster – Oceania
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving growth, developing markets, and shaping the future of a high‑performing cluster? We are seeking an experienced Cluster Leader to steer the development and implementation of our strategy across all NPE entities within the region. This senior role carries full P&L responsibility for all entities within the respective cluster and could be positioned in either Melbourne or Auckland.
In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic sales and business development initiatives, identify new market opportunities, and ensure the successful execution of our business plans. You will provide strong strategic and operational leadership, aligning the cluster with Business Unit and Business Line priorities while delivering outstanding financial and performance outcomes.
As a key representative of the organisation, you will build influential relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. You will lead and develop a diverse team, foster collaboration across a matrix environment, and drive the integration of global initiatives across the cluster. The role requires the ability to navigate complexity, make impactful decisions, and travel up to 40% to support regional and strategic activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the cluster strategy, including market, growth, and business development plans
Drive strategic sales, customer engagement, and market expansion activities
Lead performance delivery across all entities, ensuring strong financial results and governance
Hold full P&L responsibility for the entities within the respective cluster, including new machines and service
Inspire, motivate, and develop the team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing culture
Ensure alignment with global and BU strategies, processes, and initiatives
Build strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and internal stakeholders
Oversee budgets, mid‑term plans, and operational performance requirements
What You Bring:
Demonstrated strategic leadership experience in a technical, industrial, or multi‑entity environment
Strong background in sales, business development, and executing growth strategies
Proven ability to lead teams, influence across a matrix organisation, and drive alignment
Confidence managing financial performance and governance frameworks
Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and decision‑making skills
Ability to travel up to 40% as needed across the region
