The Benefits
Salary $180,000- $220,000+ Super (possibly some movement for the right candidate)
Full strategic responsibility for manufacturing
Monday to Friday only

The Role
The Head of Manufacturing will provide strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing the manufacturing strategy and setting operational goals to ensure customer satisfaction for product quality, cost and delivery. You will provide clear leadership and vision for the operational team to achieve excellence across staff motivation, safety, continuous improvement and budget control.
Overall responsibility for manufacturing activities across the business creating best practice manufacturing vision for strategy, policies and processes
Lead, develop and implement variable cost productivity programmes across all areas of responsibility
Plan and execute maintenance activity to ensure plant is kept safe and compliant
Provide effective leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports to manage a high performing team that consistently delivers to target.
The Requirements
Previous senior leadership experience across a high performing manufacturing operation ideally from building materials, CNC (wood or metal), heavy industry or fabrication sectors
Proven factory floor level management and ability to tackle operational level issues
Strong financial control experience
Previous experience implementing and using Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Tools such as Six Sigma, 5S, Value Stream Mapping etc
Excellent understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies
Proven history of increasing productivity while improving culture
