Job Description
Reporting to the National Manager, Charitable Trusts, you will take on a diverse Trust Manager role within the Charitable Trusts & Philanthropy (CTP) team. You will manage a portfolio of charitable trusts, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and support continuous improvement across philanthropy processes, systems, and regulatory obligations. Every day will bring meaningful work that directly contributes to positive social outcomes and better governance in the for‑purpose sector.

About the Role
Manage a portfolio of primarily non-discretionary charitable trusts, ensuring trust purposes are met and trustee obligations fulfilled.
Coordinate and support oversight/governance committees, including preparing materials and attending meetings.
Ensure compliance with Equity Trustees' trust management processes and contribute to ongoing business process improvements.
Support key regulatory responsibilities including ACNC, ATO and fundraising compliance.
Build relationships with charitable organisations and maintain up‑to‑date eligibility and contact information.
Collaborate across the Philanthropy team and broader business to deliver high‑quality client service.
Participate in business-wide projects, system transitions, and the development of guides, training materials and procedures.
What You Need
Knowledge of charitable trust governance, the Trustee Acts, Charities Act, and related regulatory frameworks (desirable not essential).
Experience in philanthropy, structured giving or grants management (desirable not essential).
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing deadlines.
High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
Strong research and problem-solving capability.
Proficiency across Microsoft Office suite
A collaborative, team-focused approach and a willingness to share knowledge.
Tertiary qualifications.
Additional relevant qualifications (law, finance, philanthropy, social investment) well regarded.
Membership of relevant professional bodies or previous trust management experience would be advantageous.
