Job Description
The Director of STORK Statewide Simulation Service and Medical Lead, Rapid Response Service Coordination Unit is a combined leadership role responsible for the CHQ STORK Statewide Simulation Service and the QCH Rapid Response Service. As Director of STORK the position provides leadership and support to Faculty, Simulation Coordinators, Simulation Educators, Simulation SMOs and Fellows, and other parties for the development, delivery, facilitation, and evaluation of the range of simulation activities offered as a part of the Children’s Health Queensland Simulation Training Optimising Resuscitation for Kids (STORK) statewide simulation service.
About The Role
The Director of STORK leads and supports a culture of development and enquiry which actively encourages and facilitates clinical, professional and organisational learning within a Supported Practice Framework and is accountable at an advanced practice level for:
The design, implementation and assessment of simulation education programs
Managing educational and human resources
Providing expertise related to educational issues within CHQ HHS.
STORK's role is to provide and support the delivery of simulation based educational activities covering paediatric critical care topics both within Queensland Children's Hospital and in other facilities throughout Queensland. Travel within Queensland will be regularly required. The simulation SMO provides leadership and support to faculty, simulation co‑ordinators, and/or other parties for the development, delivery, facilitation, and evaluation of the range of simulation activities offered as a part of the Children’s Health Queensland Simulation Training Optimising Resuscitation for Kids (STORK) statewide simulation service.
