Senior Civil Engineer

Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract, supporting Mining. Location: Newcastle NSW. Assignment length: 12 months fixed term. Company: Engineering Consultancy.

Responsibilities

Lead civil engineering design for sustaining capital and brownfields projects.

Prepare and review designs for drainage, earthworks, and site infrastructure.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.

Provide technical support during construction phases.

Ensure compliance with relevant standards and client specifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

Minimum 6+ years of civil engineering experience, ideally in mining or heavy industrial brownfields environments.

Proven track record delivering sustaining capital or small-to-medium brownfields projects.

Proficiency in civil design software (12D preferred) and drainage/earthworks modelling tools.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
