Digital Solution Architect

This role provides Digital Solution Architecture leadership across IAG’s digital ecosystem, including web, mobile, RESTful APIs, Adobe platforms, AI‑enabled experiences, and chatbot solutions. You will support digital delivery for the Retail business, including work related to IAG’s acquisition integration program.

You will guide squads with clear architectural direction, uplift design quality, simplify integrations, and help deliver secure, scalable, modern customer and colleague experiences.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Naarm (Melbourne) or Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).

What You'll Do

Develop and deliver high‑quality digital solution architectures for web, mobile, API and chatbot experiences.

Support Retail digital squads by providing clear design guidance, integration support, and solution options that enable secure, scalable delivery.

Collaborate with architecture, engineering, product and vendor teams to ensure alignment and smooth end‑to‑end delivery.

Produce architecture deliverables, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Identify design improvements, simplify technical patterns, and contribute to digital strategy and domain roadmaps.

Apply modern digital, cloud, and AI‑enabled practices to uplift design quality and drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

Experience in solution or technology architecture in a large‑scale environment.

Experience designing solutions for digital platforms: web (React or similar), mobile (iOS/Android), APIs, chatbots.

Experience with AI development tooling, digital automation or modern AI‑enabled practices.

Hands‑on experience working with RESTful APIs, JavaScript, mobile frameworks, digital experience layers.

Strong capability in digital architecture, integration patterns, and supporting agile squads.

Experience developing architecture options, presenting designs, and facilitating workshops.

Experience with Adobe AEM and/or Google DialogFlow - good to have.

Cloud experience - Google Cloud (preferred) or AWS.
