The Job

Setting: Rural Hospital and Health Clinic

Hours: 9am - 5pm at the medical practice, plus on‑call after hours at the hospital as per roster.

Rate: Negotiable

Provisions: Flights, accommodation and a care hire are provided.

Where you’ll be working You will be working in a quiet rural town located in Outback Queensland. When you are not on shift, this town offers a wide variety of activities, from a relaxing day fishing on the banks of the town’s gorgeous rivers to engaging in the rich history through museums and tours. To enjoy the stunning scenery, you can take a trip down the Warrego River or immerse yourself in Queensland’s largest planetarium. Direct flights are available from Brisbane and can get you there in under 2 hours.

Responsibilities • Provide general practice care to members of the community at the health clinic Monday to Friday. • Share on‑call duties at the hospital after hours, as per the local roster.

Requirements

Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine (FACRRM), or equivalent.
