Director, Education Strategy

We're looking for an experienced and influential Director of Education Strategy to champion the vision, direction, and success of our Student Management (STM) product across the higher education and student sector. In this pivotal role, you'll represent the voice of the customer, strengthen our internal and external presence, foster adoption of the STM product, and help shape the roadmap in alignment with customer needs. You'll work closely with customers, executive leaders, and R&D teams to ensure we deliver measurable and meaningful impact to the industry. This position offers the opportunity to work at strategic depth with a broad ecosystem of stakeholders across the higher education landscape.

What you'll be doing…

Engage directly with customers to understand pain points, manage escalations, and act as a trusted advisor; bringing their voice back into R&D and STM leadership.

Serve as a visible advocate for the STM product across internal and external forums, helping prioritise key product issues and opportunities via the STM Taskforce.

Partner with the Student Management Customer Taskforce, Consulting, Support, and Sales teams to resolve high-impact customer issues, analyse recurring patterns, and feed insights into R&D decision forums.

Maintain a structured customer feedback channel, collaborating with R&D leadership to influence prioritisation and roadmap direction.

Represent TechOne STM at industry events, roundtables, and user groups-building credibility and thought leadership within the higher education/student sector.

Provide regular updates to the EVP of Education on customer sentiment, sector trends, risks, opportunities, and progress toward key success measures.

Drive governance and prioritisation of STM Taskforce actions with measurable impact on product outcomes.

Your Talents…

Proven senior leadership experience across product, customer strategy, or technology functions; ideally within higher education or complex enterprise environments.

Strong customer engagement capabilities, including executive level communication and escalation management.

Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, R&D collaboration, and roadmap prioritisation.

Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, including experience representing organisations at external forums.

Strategic thinking and analytical capability to identify trends, themes, and insights from customer feedback.

Credibility and presence in the higher education/student sector, with the ability to act as a thought leader.

Tertiary qualifications in business, technology, or related disciplines (postgraduate study advantageous).
