Harry Maxwell has been engaged to recruit a newly created Head of Projects and Commercial Delivery to lead project execution across our clients' three engineered‑to‑order product verticals: Feeders, Rock Breakers, and Mining Plant & Isolation Gates. With approximately 30 active projects at any time, this role is central to lifting project performance, tightening commercial discipline, and improving the experience of clients and internal teams in a complex, highly engineered environment.

Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, this position leads all Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Document Controllers. This remit is to bring structure, accountability, and commercial clarity to an environment where variability, technical complexity, and shifting client requirements are the norm. A key focus is strengthening the link between Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Operations to ensure projects start well, stay on track, and close cleanly.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop Project Managers, Coordinators, and Document Controllers

Oversee full lifecycle delivery of engineered‑to‑order projects across all product verticals

Drive schedule discipline and critical path management to keep projects on time and within scope

Strengthen cost control, forecasting, risk management, and commercial governance

Ensure variations, claims, and contractual obligations are tightly tracked and communicated

Improve transitions between Sales and Projects, to ensure clarity of scope and expectations

Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders to reduce reliance on contractual escalation

Support Engineering, Drafting, Procurement, Supplier Management, and Commercial teams by reducing rework and improving project discipline

Stronger commercial discipline, particularly in engineering‑to‑client interactions

Improved internal coordination and reduced strain on central technical teams

A proactive, accountable project delivery culture with clear standards and follow through

Strong relationships with key client decision‑makers

A motivated, aligned project team with clarity around expectations and performance

Candidate Profile

Experience delivering engineered‑to‑order products or complex technical projects

Strong commercial acumen, including contracts, variations, claims, and margin protection

Skilled at leading multidisciplinary teams and bringing people together across functions

Comfortable working with EPCs, direct clients, and diverse internal stakeholders

International exposure (Canada, US, Chile, Peru) and flexibility to engage across time zones

Engineering background beneficial but not essential

High drive, ambition, and appetite for growth within the business

Suited to someone energetic, hungry, and looking to step into broader leadership over time
