Your Role
As our Lead Engineer, you’ll define the shape of our Integration Ecosystem and set the standard for governance portals and API gateways. Your leadership will ensure these platforms are secure, compliant, and built to enable innovation and seamless connectivity across the enterprise and with external partners.
You’ll influence strategy, embed best practices, and drive automation to elevate engineering maturity and accelerate delivery. From shaping platform roadmaps to implementing governance frameworks and championing DevSecOps, you’ll create a foundation that empowers teams and builds trust at scale. This is a permanent opportunity based near any of our major centres in Australia.
About You
Proven experience in API management platforms and gateways (MuleSoft, Apigee, and Flex Gateways).
Deep knowledge of integration patterns, microservices architecture, and event‑driven systems.
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and automation tools (GitHub Actions, Packages, Advanced Security. Vault, Nexus, Munit)
Hands‑on experience with developer portals (preferably MuleSoft Experience Hub and Anypoint Exchange).
Ability to design and build intuitive developer experiences, integrating governance, MCP (Managed Connectivity Platform), and portal capabilities into a single, seamless interface.
Skilled in creating self‑service tools and workflows that simplify API discovery, onboarding, and compliance for developers.
Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (MuleSoft CloudHub, Apigee) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and uplift engineering maturity.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence across architecture, product, and delivery teams.
