Group Financial Controller

The Opportunity This is a superb career defining opportunity for an ambitious finance executive to join a large company who are performing well. Reporting to the APAC CFO, you’ll oversee the Financial Control function for the APAC region ($1bn+ revenues) working across multiple operating divisions. The company has grown organically and via acquisition, and are therefore seeking a change-agent who can lead the development of a high performing team and improvement in systems. It’s likely that you see yourself as a CFO in future, and you are looking for a role where you can have significant impact, and further build your career.

The Challenge Key responsibilities will include:

Building a leading a high-performing Financial Control team

Overseeing the monthly consolidation process and month end close, analysis of Group P&L and balance sheet results

Delivery of APAC statutory accounts, global financial compliance and planning the external audit

Overseeing technical accounting advice provided across the Group including assessing and documenting the accounting treatment for technical accounting issues and material transactions across the Group.

Providing accounting advice for M&A transactions

Identifying opportunities to automate financial control & accounting processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness

The Expertise Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

CA with significant experience in Big4 or a leading tier 2 firm

Experience in a large multi-national companies with focus on the APAC region

Experience in an inventory-led business; manufacturing, retail, wholesale, FMCG etc

Knowledge of divisional and group-level financial control and accounting

Demonstrated experience leading a large team, and delivering on significant transformation and change projects

Results orientated with a process improvement mindset

Executive level communication skills are a given
