Graduate Backend Software Engineer, TikTok LIVE (Sydney) - 2026 Start. TikTok LIVE Foundation and related teams support the TikTok LIVE SMB Service, aiming to help TikTok’s small and medium-sized business (SMB) merchants and creators diversify their customer acquisition strategies and business operations through live streaming by enhancing product capabilities, providing creator services, and offering professional live streaming content for users. Plan, lead, and develop large-scale software systems that drive the TikTok app Develop robust, efficient technology products that serve 1 billion users Improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability, performance, and reliability of the product Contribute to engineering strategy, tooling, processes, and culture Research and apply cutting-edge domain and technical knowledge into products Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Final year or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, C++, PHP Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures and algorithms Preferred Qualifications Good communication and team collaboration skills Prior internship experience in building backend services for large-scale consumer-facing applications is a plus Passionate and experienced in challenging problem-solving techniques with related internet products Curiosity towards new technologies and entrepreneurship, excellent communication and teamwork skills and high levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities Policies
