The Chief Operating Officer is a key member of the Executive Team and a critical driver of operational excellence, innovation, and strategic impact across Football West. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead core portfolios including: Football Operations People & Culture ICT, innovation and digital transformation Marketing, communications and fan engagement Governance, integrity and policy Data and analytics Partnering to support the Sam Kerr Football Centre’s operations You will play a central role in delivering the Strategic Plan, shaping the organisation’s culture, building partnerships, and ensuring strong performance across all operational areas. This is both a strategic and hands‑on role requiring a visionary leader who can influence, collaborate, and drive high performance across a diverse and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Lead delivery of the Strategic Plan and drive digital, data and organisational transformation. Monitor performance and provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board. Operational Excellence

Oversee Football Operations and ensure high‑quality program delivery. Improve systems, processes and organisational efficiency. People & Culture

Build a positive, values‑led culture and lead workforce capability and change initiatives. Asian Engagement & Partnerships

Deliver the Asian Engagement Strategy and grow international, government and commercial partnerships. Marketing, Communications & Fan Growth

Guide marketing and communications to strengthen brand and fan engagement. Governance & Compliance

Oversee governance, integrity and regulatory alignment. Sam Kerr Football Centre

Support SKFC utilisation, sponsorship and strategic development. About you

You are a transformational leader with the capability to drive both innovation and operational excellence. You bring: Extensive experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams in a complex, high‑volume environment A strong track record in strategy execution, change management and digital transformation Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at all levels Experience managing budgets and organisational performance Strong understanding of governance, risk, and best practice frameworks Excellent communication, analytical insight and commercial acumen A values‑led approach grounded in collaboration, integrity and excellence What you’ll need
