The Role The Solution Architect works within the Solution Delivery team to design and support the implementation of end-to-end technology solutions. This hands‑on role focuses on producing clear, scalable, and secure designs that meet business and technical needs. You’ll translate requirements into practical technical solutions, document architectures, and assist teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Analyse business requirements and translate them into clear functional, non‑functional, and technical specifications.

Develop high‑ and low‑level solution designs, including diagrams, data flows, and integration models.

Ensure solutions align with architecture standards, regulatory requirements, and organisational strategy.

Identify technical and architectural risks and recommend mitigation approaches.

Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to communicate solution options and rationale.

Maintain accurate solution documentation and contribute to shared knowledge repositories.

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities for improvement or adoption.

Support continuous improvement of solution design processes and practices.

Required

Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or tertiary qualification with demonstrated relevant experience

Certifications in architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF), cloud platforms, or integration

5+ years of experience in solution architecture or related field, with a proven track record of designing and documenting technical solutions

Hands‑on experience with integration and data platforms

Exposure to diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments

Strong technical background in architecture, business systems, and integration

Proficiency in a wide range of technical areas, including but not limited to:

System architecture and design principles

Programming languages and development frameworks

Cloud computing platforms and services

Database technologies and data management principles

Networking and infrastructure concepts

Preferred

Certifications in project management, or related disciplines such as ITIL, Agile are desirable

Experience working in organisations with small, agile technology teams

Exposure to agile and hybrid delivery models (internal teams + support partners)
