About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior P&C & People Advisory Business Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping our workplace culture and people strategy across Bapcor’s Group functions—Finance, Technology, Legal and People & Culture.
This is a true strategic partnering role, but equally one that requires deep, hands‑on involvement in complex Employee Relations matters. You will be the organisation’s ER expert—setting standards, leading investigations, guiding leaders through complexity, and influencing senior stakeholders to drive a high‑performance, fair and engaged workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the trusted P&C partner to Group functions (Finance, Technology, Legal, P&C), elevating the P&C value proposition and delivering people initiatives that enhance the team member experience and support business outcomes.
Translate group-wide people strategies into practical initiatives, leading organisational change, workforce planning, role design and capability programs that align to Bapcor’s strategy.
Lead ER across Australia and New Zealand, providing expert advice on performance, conduct, grievances, policy interpretation and employment compliance, ensuring consistent, fair and commercially sound outcomes.
Personally manage and oversee complex and sensitive investigations, whistleblower matters and industrial issues—representing Bapcor in tribunals, conciliations and external claims, and preparing all required documentation.
Lead, coach and develop a team of People Advisors, setting ER and case management standards and ensuring consistent, high‑quality advisory support across the business.
Build leader capability on managing performance, conduct, people risk and employment obligations, and champion an inclusive, accountable and psychologically safe workplace culture.
Identify ER risks and trends, utilise people data to inform decision‑making, and contribute to policy development and continuous improvement of ER frameworks and P&C practices.
What You’ll Bring
You are a trusted senior HR advisor with deep experience in P&C business partnering and Employee Relations across fast‑paced, complex environments. You bring:
Extensive ER expertise across Australia and New Zealand
Strong experience leading complex investigations and industrial matters
Strategic mindset with the ability to execute with precision and pragmatism
Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills
Comfort managing ambiguity and acting as a key driver of change
A collaborative, customer‑focused and commercially astute approach
At Bapcor, we focus on what matters most for our customers, team members and the communities we serve. We go the extra mile to get the job done and always live our values.
In joining our team, you can access:
Diverse career opportunities within the Bapcor Group
Discounts across Bapcor products and services, including our Retail and Trade brands
Industry leading policies to support your work/life balance (gender neutral parental leave, purchase leave, volunteer leave etc…)
Paid birthday leave
Novated leasing and more
