Lead Engineer – South Brisbane/Gold Coast I am currently supporting an engineering consultancy who are delivering high-performance solutions across mining, power systems, and renewables. Independent and agile, the team is known for creative problem-solving, technical excellence, and a collaborative culture.

Job Description This role leads electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning. You will oversee design development and technical reviews while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and review electrical designs from feasibility to detailed engineering

Participate in design reviews and safety workshops

Play a leading part in site investigations and assessments

Offer advice and mentor junior engineers, partaking in their professional development as and when necessary

Develop, review, and advise, and even oversee commissioning works and test plans

Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders of all levels.

Requirements

Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) status

Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent

10+ years professional engineering experience in Australia

Strong written and verbal communication and client-facing skills.
