Associate Director - Investment Risk

weave. Recruitment has been exclusively retained to appoint a senior Investment Risk professional into a scaling national real estate private credit platform.

This role sits at the centre of investment governance, partnering closely with Origination and Investment Management while maintaining a clear and independent line of sight on portfolio quality and risk discipline.

As funds under management continue to scale, this position plays a critical role in strengthening underwriting consistency, third party diligence, portfolio monitoring and institutional grade governance.

The Focus Of The Role

Review all credit submissions and investment memoranda prior to committee

Provide structured written and verbal risk assessment and challenge

Attend and contribute to Credit and Investment Committees

Oversee valuation and quantity surveyor panels and third party instructions

Review portfolio concentration, LVR metrics, covenant compliance and valuation currency

Maintain security, covenant and insurance registers

Monitor watch list exposures and support workout strategy

Contribute to continued uplift of investment and risk frameworks

What We’re Looking For

Extensive experience in commercial real estate lending or investment risk

Strong structuring knowledge across development and income producing assets

Deep familiarity with valuation methodology and feasibility analysis

Confidence providing challenge in senior committee environments

Strong written communication and process discipline

Executive level exposure and responsibility

Genuine influence over risk policy and process

Exposure to mid market development and income producing assets

Growing platform with strong capital inflows
