Consultant Psychiatrist | Tertiary Mental Health Service | Northern Territory We are working closely with the principal tertiary hospital in the Northern Territory and are keen to connect with Consultant Psychiatrists interested in full‑time opportunities within a comprehensive and high‑impact Mental Health service. The service provides acute inpatient, consultation‑liaison and community‑based psychiatric care across a vast regional and remote catchment. Consultants practise within a structured multidisciplinary model and contribute to both clinical delivery and service development. This role will appeal to Psychiatrists seeking professional depth, cultural diversity and meaningful regional impact.

The Hospital & Mental Health Services This is the primary tertiary referral hospital for the Northern Territory. Mental Health services include:

Acute adult inpatient psychiatry

Consultation‑liaison psychiatry

Community mental health programs

Emergency Department interface

Regional and remote referral responsibilities

Multidisciplinary teams including psychology, specialist nursing and allied health

The service manages complex presentations reflective of its broad geographic and culturally diverse population.

Requirements

Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP)

Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)

International Medical Graduates assessed by RANZCP as partially or substantially comparable
