Job Description
Help shape the future of Australian hospitality.
We are looking for a passionate and organised Membership & Marketing Associate to support renewals, member engagement, and communications across two national industry bodies: ARCA and AFAB (Australian Foodservice Advocacy Body).
This is a part‑time role perfect for someone who loves relationship‑building, advocacy, marketing, and small business support. Time will be split across both organisations.
What You’ll Do
As Membership & Marketing Associate, you’ll be the heartbeat of our growing member communities - supporting hospitality operators & foodservice brands and strengthening engagement across both associations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing membership renewals, including outreach and retention communications.
Responding to member enquiries and guiding them through the onboarding journey.
Creating and scheduling member newsletters and EDM campaigns.
Planning, creating, and posting engaging social media content across ARCA and AFAB platforms.
Developing basic graphic design assets (social tiles, event graphics, email banners).
Assisting with event planning and coordination (online & in‑person), including member networking events, expos, and annual Gala.
Keeping our CRM databases updated and producing monthly engagement reports.
Supporting member‑facing campaigns such as ARCA’s weekly industry update and broader advocacy initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
Excellent communication and people skills (phone/email/event‑based).
A self‑starter who thrives with autonomy and flexible hours.
Strong organisational skills and CRM/database experience.
Experience with email marketing platforms and social media scheduling tools.
Basic graphic design skills (e.g. Canva or similar).
Experience in associations, membership organisations, marketing, or hospitality is a big plus.
The Details
Work from home with occasional in‑person meetings/events.
Hourly contract rate (negotiable based on experience).
Applicants must be based in Australia. Working holiday visas are acceptable; however, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
ARCA and AFAB are strong national voices for Australia’s hospitality and foodservice sectors, advocating for real outcomes in Parliament and on the ground. In this role, you’ll help strengthen the businesses that power our cafes, restaurants, and food culture - while shaping how we communicate, engage, and grow our industry community.
Send your CV and a short cover note to wes@arca.org.au by 13th March 2026.
