Cyber Security Engineer

About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Cyber Security Engineer who will play a key role in safeguarding cloud and on‑prem environments. You’ll work closely with IT and business stakeholders to improve detection, strengthen controls, and deliver proactive risk management initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about modern security engineering and uplift.

Key Responsibilities

Perform vulnerability scanning, assessments, and incident response

Implement and monitor key security controls across hybrid environments

Optimise Microsoft 365 security technologies and SIEM operations

Create and maintain security documentation, standards and processes

Assist with compliance requirements including Essential 8 and PCI‑DSS

About You

Strong background in cyber security engineering or operations

Experience with Microsoft cloud security, SIEM/SOAR and endpoint protection

Understanding of defensive and offensive security tools and techniques

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Security certifications (CISM, CEH, OSCP etc.) are advantageous
