As a Consultant / Specialist Anaesthetist, you will:

Provide anaesthesia for complex elective and emergency surgery.

Manage patients across trauma, cardiac, paediatrics, and perioperative medicine.

Lead perioperative and anaesthetic services in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Supervise and train registrars, fellows, and junior medical staff.

Conduct pre‑operative assessments and contribute to acute and chronic pain management.

Support outreach services to rural and regional Queensland.

Participate in audit, quality improvement, teaching, and research activities.

14 operating theatres.

Salary & Benefits A highly competitive remuneration package including:

Total package up to $496,915 per year.

Attraction & Retention Allowance: 50% of base salary.

Motor Vehicle Allowance: $21,000 – $25,500 p.a.

Professional Development: $21,500 allowance + 3.6 weeks PD leave.

Annual Leave: 4–6 weeks + 14%–17.5% leave loading.

Superannuation: 12.75% employer contribution.

About You

Fellowship of ANZCA (or equivalent) with AHPRA Specialist Registration (or eligibility).

Broad experience in general and complex anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, and pain management.

Demonstrated skills in leadership, supervision, and mentorship.

Interest and/or experience in regional and outreach practice.
