Enterprise Architect

We are partnering with a diversified, fast-growing group operating across multiple business streams nationally. The organisation is expanding, integrating acquisitions, and evolving its technology landscape to support growth and operational excellence.

The Role This is a genuine Group Enterprise Architect role reporting directly to the CIO. It is a single-incumbent position operating through influence, not direct line management. You will define target state architecture, drive governance, support acquisition due diligence, and shape a multi-year technology roadmap. At the same time, you will remain close to delivery, guiding solution design and stepping into complex technical decisions when required. This environment is fast-moving, commercially focused, and high accountability. It requires resilience, sound judgement, and the ability to navigate competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Establish and mature the enterprise architecture function across the Group

Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks

Develop and drive a 3 to 5 year enterprise technology roadmap aligned to business strategy

Lead technology due diligence and integration planning for acquisitions

Provide architectural oversight across applications, integration, infrastructure, security, and data

Guide delivery teams and vendors on solution direction and platform standards

Drive rationalisation and convergence to reduce duplication, technical debt, and complexity

What We're Looking For

Proven Enterprise Architect background within multi-entity or fast-growing organisations

Strong Solution Architect foundations with the ability to operate at enterprise level

Experience supporting or leading technology due diligence and post-acquisition integration

Experience defining target state architecture and multi-year roadmaps

Strong governance capability without creating unnecessary bureaucracy

Confident operating across executives, senior leaders, and technical teams

Comfortable being challenged and making decisive calls in a delivery-focused culture

Technology Landscape (for context)

Microsoft Azure enterprise environment

Enterprise applications including ERP and Business Intelligence platforms

Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform

Integrated finance, operational, WMS, payroll and workforce systems

City fringe location

This role will suit an architect who enjoys complexity, growth environments, and real accountability. It will not suit someone looking for a purely theoretical or governance-only position.
