Job Description Due to some recent project wins, we are looking for a Principal ICT & Security Engineer to join our diverse Consulting & Technology team. This opportunity will work on a variety of projects including defence, health, education, sports infrastructure, aviation and justice. This role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.

How youโ€™ll make a difference

Lead the design, delivery and technical assurance of complex ICT and Security systems including structured cabling, active networks, WLAN, IPTV, audio-visual systems, video conferencing, CCTV, electronic access control, intruder alarm, intercom, perimeter intrusion detection and Type 1A security alarm systems.

Provide strategic direction across the full project lifecycle, including early concept development, project costing, design governance, client engagement, contractor oversight and participation in bids/tenders.

Act as a technical authority, using your multi-disciplinary experience to mentor, coach and develop engineers across the national team while contributing to continuous improvement of our design methodologies and standards.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, leading stakeholder engagement, overseeing site investigations and providing high-level, commercially aware and technically robust solutions.

The qualities that will help you thrive

Relevant Engineering Qualification in Electrical, ICT, Telecommunications or similar, along with Professional Engineering Registration (or eligibility) and the ability to hold a State Security Licence.

Ideally 9+ yearsโ€™ experience within a consultancy (or client-side environment) with excellent knowledge of Australian Codes, Standards and best-practice design principles.

Outstanding technical leadership capabilities, with a proven track record directing and coordinating ICT and Security design on complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

Extensive experience delivering and leading consultancy services within the built environment, providing guidance, technical reviews and strategic project input.

A strong consulting mindset, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical specialists and non-technical stakeholders and influence project outcomes at a senior level.

Please note: Due to the nature of the projects, Australian Citizenship is required, along with current or the ability to obtain Defence clearance.
