Job Description

Position Manager, Policy – Full‑time, Permanent – Australasian College for Emergency Medicine • West Melbourne, VIC, AU

We have an exciting opportunity to take on the leadership of our Policy Team!

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Policy Unit, supporting team development and performance.

Develop and deliver policy and research projects aligned with ACEM’s Advocacy Strategy.

Provide expert policy advice to the ACEM Board, CAPP, and related committees.

Monitor health policy developments in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand to ensure timely responses.

Prepare high-quality submissions, reports, briefings, and other policy documents.

Oversee the development and review of ACEM’s standards, guidelines, and position statements.

Collaborate across ACEM and support branches in policy and advocacy activities.

Represent ACEM and engage with stakeholders through forums, consultations, and events.

Advise senior leaders, including the General Manager, Executive Director, and CEO, on health policy issues.
