Ballarat Grammar is one of regional Australia’s leading co‑educational schools with a proud history dating back to 1877 and a flourishing community of over 2,000 students from 6 months to Year 12, including around 260 boarders.

To commence Term 2, 2026 (or later by negotiation)

Full‑time, ongoing position

We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator for the role of Director of Inclusion Education. The key focus of this role will be to work with students, their families and teachers across the School to lead inclusive education as a strategic, evidence‑informed practice that enables all students to access, participate in, and succeed in learning.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration (or ability to obtain), including a VIT approved Teaching qualification.

Demonstrated experience working with students who require additional support.

Strong understanding of services and referral processes available.

Experience with case management and co‑ordination.

Strong working knowledge of the NCCD and relevant disability legislation, including the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005, and the capacity to ensure school‑wide compliance while improving inclusive teaching and learning outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to lead meaningful consultation and ongoing communication with students and families regarding learning, wellbeing, and reasonable adjustments, in line with the Disability Standards for Education 2005.
