The Contribution You Will Bring To This Role The

Finance Director APAC

will play a vital role in JSG’s global finance transformation. The position will be responsible for overseeing financial performance and provide a strategic insight as we work to transform the JSG, APAC business. This includes financial reporting, planning, full accountability for accurate financial statements, pricing, manufacturing finance activities and insight into business performance. The Finance Director APAC will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial information for decision‑making while at the same time driving a controlled environment that ensures integrity within the business unit’s financial statements. In addition, this position will also take a lead role in partnering with the APAC leadership team to help drive improvements within the business.

What You Will Do At Justrite In this role, you will report directly to the Vice President Finance, EMEA & APAC with a dotted line reporting to the APAC Managing Director. The position will be located in Melbourne, Australia with direct oversight of our Australia business as well as our business units located in China and Southeast Asia. This is a new role within Justrite Safety Group as the team looks to drive exponential growth across the APAC region. The position is responsible for integrity and control of the APAC financial statements along with driving thoughtful insights into the key drivers influencing business results, helping to develop action plans that impact results and driving fulsome operating rhythms that help forward‑steer the business unit to achieve its growth targets.

Strategic Financial Leadership

Lead financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the APAC region.

Drive the development and execution of APAC financial strategy in alignment with global business objectives.

Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and business growth.

Drive regional cost optimization initiatives while ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

Serve as a key liaison between regional leadership and C‑suite executives for financial reporting and decision‑making.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the business unit. Eliciting insight from the reviews that can be communicated to Senior Leadership to drive key decision making.

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standards.

Oversee treasury, tax, and risk management functions across the region. Position will collaborate and coordinate across these functions with the centralized JSG finance organization.

Monitor and analyze financial trends to proactively address risks and opportunities.

Help implement and maintain effective internal controls and governance to safeguard company assets.

Lead regional audits and ensure compliance with all legal and corporate financial obligations.

Drive Strong Operations Finance Principles

Partner with Senior Leadership to develop and track operations KPI’s that will drive efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.

Coordinate and oversee the annual standard cost roll.

Understand and monitor cost accounting variances and identify suggestions to improve unfavorable variances.

Ensuring proper inventory tracking and collections of labor / shop floor activity, including physical inventories.

Internal Controls and Risk Management

Help implement and maintain an effective controls environment that safeguards company assets and ensures financial integrity under both local accounting standards and US GAAP.

Proactively identify and mitigate risks through root cause failure analysis and control measurements.

Team Management And Development

Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals responsible for subsidiary‑level accounting and reporting. Finance teams in both China and Australia will report into this position.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the finance team.

Manage relationships with external partners: auditors, regulators, and tax advisors.

Stakeholder Communication

Communicate financial performance, trends, and forecasts to senior leadership team and other relevant stakeholders.

Act as strategic business partner for the Business Unit Managing Director helping to drive business performance.

Work across functions to help communicate inefficiencies while being a resource to help problem solve areas of improvement for the business.

Systems And Technology Integration

Where needed, help oversee the implementation and integration of financial systems and technology platforms to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Your Skills And Expertise To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:

10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a focus on regional or global roles.

High proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards. Demonstrated knowledge of cost accounting principles and drivers of plant variances.

Advanced proficiency with Excel is required.

Entrepreneurial spirit; comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy to drive results.

Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced team environment efficiently and effectively.

Display follow‑through on all tasks and a readiness to do what it takes, flexibility and willingness to work overtime, if necessary, to complete assignments and meet deadlines.

Strong initiative and drive, including a willingness to collaborate on projects and in areas beyond Accounting and Finance.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.

Proven track record of partnering with executive leadership to drive business strategy.

Knowledge of US GAAP and local accounting standards.

Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.

Experience leading cross‑functional teams and driving financial transformation initiatives.

Compensation The compensation will be commensurate with experience. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
